WWII Unit Marked Japanese Soldier’s Armor Vest

The cotton vest has an exterior of olive green and a white lining to the interior, with tie closures. The vest is heavy, with the multi – plate protective armor being only on the front side of the vest. The vest has a few spots and stains. There is handwritten kanji on the lining which identifies the vest as having been used by a member of the 1st Light Machine Gun Company of the 34th Regiment of the 3rd Division of the Japanese Army.
