WWII U.S. Marine Corps Aviator Officer Uniform

The uniform is comprised of a high quality wool tunic and trousers of a slightly lighter shade of green. The tunic has the rank bars of a Captain on the shoulders, while the left shoulder bears the fully embroidered patch of the Third Marine Air Wing. The collar bears eagle, globe and anchor insignia. On the upper left breast is a full size, pin back, Navy aviator wing which is maker marked by Hilborn Hamburger. Below the wing are the large, plastic covered ribbons for the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal and the Pacific Campaign ribbon. Overall the uniform is in very good condition.
