WWII Treasury Department War Bonds Sales Award Flag

$250.00

A wool flag, approximately 34 by 58 inches, with separately applied white Minuteman, stars, and capital “T”. The basic Minuteman flag was awarded during World War II by the Treasury Department to businesses enrolling 90% or more of their employees in a Payroll Deduction program for buying War Bonds. This is a “T” flag, an even more noteworthy award, conferred upon businesses where 90% or more of the employees participated by subscribing 10% or more of the Gross Payroll.
There are two metal grommets on the hoist edge for attachment to a flag pole. On each side of the flag there is a light, off-white, line a few inches from the hoist. Overall the flag is in very good condition.
