WWII “Textile Mill Works” Security Guard Helmet

The helmet is in the style of the M1917 combat helmet, with a separately applied cloth liner bearing a manufacturer label. The exterior of the helmet shows spots and scratches, but the exterior finish is largely intact. The exterior bears a circular blue stripe and the red letters “T.M.W.” for the “Textile Mill Works” in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The liner is retained to the interior by four riveted leather tabs, two of which are broken, but the liner is secure. Overall very good condition.
