WWII Soviet NKVD Budyonovka Cap

The gray wool body of the cap exhibits wear and surface soiling, with a few small holes on the rear bottom edge. The front edge of the visor also shows wear. The front body of the cap bears a large cloth star in the brick red color of the NKVD (the “People’s Commissariat for Internal Affairs”, or “Secret Police”) onto which is fastened the enamel insignia of the Red Army, with the cloth flaps secured by brass military buttons. The quilted interior lining shows wear but it is intact and without damage. Overall the cap is in very good used condition and it makes a fine appearance.
