Approximately 12-1/2 inches by 17-1/2 inches. The embroidery depicts a profile view of the tanker “S.S. Washita”, which was launched in 1943. The embroidery was done in thick thread on a canvas base with a rope border. The piece has two rope loops for hanging. The reverse side bears a handwritten presentation. The piece shows age toning but overall it is in very good condition.
