WWII Period “Polish Falcons” Polish-American Soldier Portrait Photograph Display Disk

The celluloid display disk is approximately 9 inches in diameter, lacking a hanging hook or easel stand on the reverse. The display contains a photograph of a young soldier in U.S. Army uniform, with what appears to be a medal pinned to his collar. The photograph shows some spots and foxing. The display disk has a patriotic Polish-American motif. The image and text represents the “Polish Falcons of America”, a historic fraternal and physical-culture organization founded by Polish immigrants in the United States. The text on the top of the disply is in Polish and it means “Hail to the Fatherland!” and “Polish Falcon in America”. Below the photograph are the statements, in Polish, of “Let us all be falcons, and we shall not fear our enemies!” with “And then using the falcon’s talons, we will push back enemies from Poland’s doorsteps!”. Good condition.
