WWII Army Air Force V-44 Survival Knife Marked “Henry B. Broome Nov. 42 Karachi India”

The knife has an overall length of approximately 13-3/4 inches, with a blade length of approximately 9 inches. The clipped point blade is generally gray overall, with some fine pitting. Impressed in block lettering on the upper edge of the blade on one side is “Henry B. Broome Nov. 42 Karachi India”. The brass guard shows some verdigris and an uncleaned patina. The wood has a small surface chip on the top edge of the pommel on one side, about 1/2 of an inch long, but otherwise it is without cracks or chips. The knife is without a sheath.
