The squadron saw action in Dutch New Guinea, Philippines and Borneo waters. Squadron 16 was awarded the Navy Commendation for action at Mindoro from Dec 15 to 19, 1944. Excellent condition. Approximately 3 3/4 inches in diameter. The patch does not fluoresce under ultra violet light.
