WWII Mexican Army Officer Visor Cap

The high quality cap was constructed with a black wool body and a golden brown cap band. The front of the cap displays a bullion Mexican eagle below a cockade with the national colors. A gilt edged fabric chin strap is across the visor which is retained by gilt buttons bearing the Mexican eagle and the designation of “Ejército Nacional México” (“Mexican National Army”). The surface of the leather visor has typical age crazing, while the body of the cap has dust but it is overall quite clean. The full leather interior sweatband is present, although with some loss of stitching, and with the sweatband bearing a maker mark. The golden brown quilted lining is intact. Overall very good condition.
