The finish of the bayonet blade appears to be almost completely intact beneath a rather thick film of old grease. The ricasso bears the manufacturer mark of the Utica Cutlery firm. The grip plates are without chips or cracks. The finish on the guard and the pommel shows only minor signs of age or use. The M7 scabbard exhibits wear to the surfaces and the finish, but it is without damage.
