The blade of the bayonet retains much of its original finish, showing typical wear as well as spots and scratches from field use. The ricasso bears the Ordnance Corps mark as well as the “AFH” manufacturer mark of the American Fork and Hoe Company. The guard and the pommel similarly retain most all of their finish, with the guard being serial numbered. The top of the scabbard throat also bears a serial number which, like the guard, is in the mid-four million range, but the numbers do not match. The black Bakelite grip plates are without damage. The bayonet is contained within its M7 fiberglass scabbard. Overall very good field used condition.
