WWII Luftwaffe Ruckenfallschirm Model RH 12B (Fl. 30245) Backrest Parachute

This type of parachute was worn in aircraft having a recess in the back of the seats, which included both fighters and bombers. The parachute itself is missing from the pack, but all straps and releases appear to be complete and intact. The set shows soiling and spots from use, but overall it is in excellent used condition. The aluminum tray retains most of its original drab painted finish, showing expected scratches.
