WWII Luftwaffe Medical Obergefreiter Flieger Tunic

The flieger blouse is constructed of service quality Luftwaffe blue gray wool, with the rank tabs and the sleeve chevron of an Obergefreiter of the medical branch. The shoulder straps are piped in dark blue to reflect medical branch service, while the medical specialty trade badge in present on the lower left sleeve. The tunic shows signs of wear and use, but it is without stains, or damage, showing one small hole in the interior elbow area of the right sleeve. Interestingly, it appears that the solider who wore the tunic attempted to expand the size a bit by creating buttonholes immediately adjacent to the original button holes, but either the effort was unnecessary or the soldier lost some weight, because these buttonholes were then stitched closed. The interior lining has Luftwaffe issue stamps. Overall the tunic is in very good field used condition.
