The blue gray wool cap has a black mohair cap band and it is piped in the golden yellow of Luftwaffe flight personnel or paratroopers. The cap displays a fine saddle shape, with some typical age crazing of the visor surface but without damage or holes in the wool body. The cap exhibits use, with spots of wear to the wool base of the cap body circumference, and the front edge of the visor has a loss of the leather trim. The interior leather sweatband is intact, as is the fabric lining, with the lining showing spots and soiling from wear. Overall the cap is in very good condition and it displays great character.
