WWII Luftwaffe Camouflage M40 Combat Helmet

M40 Luftwaffe single decal combat helmet, marked EF 64, reflecting a size 64 cm. helmet manufactured by Emaillierwerke A.G. The interior of the helmet exhibits the normal Luftwaffe blue gray paint, while the exterior was painted with a medium green camouflage color. The Luftwaffe eagle decal is clearly visible and it appears that an effort was made to apply the camouflage paint around the eagle. The decal would rate as approximately 90% intact. The exterior camouflage paint would rate as approximately 70% intact. The helmet lacks the liner and chinstrap. There are some areas of white paint spots on the front of the helmet. The rear rim of the helmet is impressed with the manufacturer lot number of 3826, and the letters “HZ” have been applied to the interior rear rim of the helmet, presumably the initials of the original owner. Very good combat worn, camouflaged Luftwaffe helmet with great character.
