A late war canteen of lower quality than earlier war examples. The cloth cover shows soiling and stains from wear in the field. All of the cover closure snaps are intact. The full leather shoulder strap is present, showing age cracks and some dryness, but being complete and intact. The aluminum drinking cup cap is present. Overall the canteen is in very good service used condition.
