WWII K98 Dress Bayonet by Gustav Spitzer with Frog and Portepee

The short dress bayonet has a blade which is quite bright, showing typical spots and runner marks, but in overall excellent condition, The leather washer is in place at the top of the blade, with the ricasso bearing the trademark of the Gustav Spitzer firm. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks. The guard has a few tiny specks of plating loss, while the obverse pommel exhibits several scattered pock mark indentations. The pommel also shows one or two tiny spots of plating loss. The red felt insert remains inside of the rifle slot. The black scabbard paint is largely intact, with a few minor scuffs and scratches. The leather frog has relatively minor signs of age and use, remaining in very good polish. Around the frog is tied the portepee of the 2nd Company of an Infantry Regiment. Overall the dress bayonet is in excellent condition.
