WWII K98 Combat Bayonet by Alexander Coppel
$165.00
The blade of the bayonet has a largely intact blued finish which shows a few spots. The ricasso is maker marked by the Coppel firm, with the opposite side bearing the serial number “6708 K”. The wood grip plates show age and use, but they are without chips or cracks, while the grip plate on one side has several small indentations above the upper rivet. The finish on the guard and the pommel is generally intact. The top of the pommel on one side bears waffen amt marks. The finish of the scabbard shows relatively light wear. The throat of the scabbard has a serial number of “3297” which appears to have been crossed out, while below it is the number “2807 d”. On the opposite side of the scabbard throat is the name of the F.W. Holler firm and the date of 1939. Overall the bayonet is in very good to excellent condition.
