WWII Japanese Type 89 “Knee Mortar” Round

Approximately 5-1/2 inches in length, with a base diameter of approximately 1-5/8 inches. The round retains a visible red mark around the nose to indicate Imperial Army use. The round bears kanji markings and an impressed number marking and, while it shows age, the round is in overall very good condition, with intact nose wire and pull cord.
