A Type 32 cavalry saber with an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 39 inches, and with a blade length of approximately 32 inches. The matte finish blade shows spots as well as a dark cast and a film of surface rust on the upper areas of both sides of the blade, but the blade is smooth without chips or cracks. The ricasso of the blade is numbered”10605″. The drag of the scabbard had a small number stamped into it and then the number “10605″placed on top of it. The wooden grip shows age but it is without nicks or cracks. The steel guard and the scabbard both exhibit some surface rust.
