The blade shows scratches, surface dirt, and scattered dark spots. The celluloid grip is imitation shark skin,tightly triple wrapped with brass wire. The grip lacks the brass cherry blossom insignia. The grip itself is slightly loose on the dagger. The leather scabbard exhibits scratches and scuffs but it is intact. The brass components of the dagger all show an uncleaned patina.
