WWII Japanese Military Field Telephone

The wooden case containing the field telephone is approximately 10-5/8 inches wide by 7 inches tall by 4-3/8 inches deep. The case exterior exhibits signs of age and use. The interior earpiece and speaker are intact, with the cords also apparently intact as well, although it is unknown if the telephone is functional or if it could be made functional. The sides have latches to retain the drop-down front panel in place, and one of these latches is missing. The identification plate remains intact on the front of the case, although one of the small nails holding onto the case is missing.
