WWII Japanese Bukoushou Exceptional Valor Badge

Established in December of 1944 for exceptional acts of courage, this Distinguished Military Service Badge (“Bukoushou”) was one of the highest decorations for military valor in Imperial Japan. This is the 2nd class version, in iron and silver. There is some wear to the finish on the reverse, but overall it is in excellent condition.
