WWII Japanese Body Armor Set

WWII Japanese Body Armor Set. Consists of; matching cloth covered steel front and back plates, cloth covered steel groin plate, cloth belts and wool cloth covered steel helmet. Body plates buckle at the shoulder on leather tabs. Back attached cloth straps lace at the sides and tie at the front. Separate groin plate with 2 long cloth ties. Comes with 2 webbing belts with metal buckles – I have no idea where where they go. Wool cloth covered helmet in the form of a visored hat. Front plate, helmet and groin plate all have labels that read “Army Specs Bullet Proof Institute Made”. There is a mouse chew on the bottom of one side which measures 1″ X 2″, everything else is in excellent condition with a few spots of minor wear. Total weight is 13 1/2 pounds. A rarely seen set especially this complete.
