WWII Japanese Army Second Lieutenant Overcoat
$325.00
The overcoat was tailored in a high quality olive green wool for a Second Lieutenant of the Intendence branch of the Imperial Army. The overcoat reflects superior tailoring with, for example, the front have a false double breasted button arrangement. The row of gilt buttons on the edge of the closure flap are non-functioning, and the coat flap actually closes with buttons that are concealed beneath the flap. The left side has a well tailored opening to permit the wear of a sword. The collar bears the rank tabs of a Second Lieutenant, with the tabs underscored by strips of purple cloth reflecting service in the Imperial Army Intendence branch. The overcoat is exceptionally clean, without stains, holes, repairs or damage, and it makes a very impressive appearance.
