A Japanese Army paratrooper’s parachute set comprised of the reserve parachute and main parachute, both contained within their original large tan canvas carrying bag with star stitched canvas handles. The main parachute is a type 1 Army paratrooper parachute in an orange backpack style case with dark green trim and harness straps that connect to a chrome plated quick release central locking device. The reserve parachute in contained within a similar orange bag. The main parachute has a numbered label on the bag, while the reserve parachute has a card within a pocket, with this card having numbers that match the label on the main parachute.
