WWII Japanese Army Officer Wool Field Cap

Olive green wool body with a bullion Army star sewn to the front. The leather chin strap is retained by gilt officer cherry blossom side buttons. There is moth tracking to the wool body but it is not particularly distracting and there are only one or two tiny and barely noticeable holes in one side of the body. The interior shows use, with a hole in the lining. Overall the cap makes a very good appearance as a Japanese Army officer’s cap that was quite obviously worn in the field of operations.
