WWII Japanese Army NCO Type 95 Shin-Gunto Sword

A World War II period Japanese Army NCO’s shin gunto sword produced by the Nagoya Arsenal. The sword has the painted aluminum handle on which approximately 90% of the olive brown paint remains intact on the imitation lacing. The silver paint on the imitation ray skin is approximately 90% intact, while the gilt paint on the menuki is about 70% intact. The fuchi hilt collar is the iron style. The blade bears the number 130575, and the scabbard bears the same matching number. The blade has some spots and scratches, but it is bright overall with no edge nicks or active rust. The blade is approximately 26 1/2 inches long, with an overall length of approximately 37 inches. The olive brown paint on the scabbard is approximately 90% intact.
