WWII Japanese Arisaka Training Bayonet

The bayonet blade shows wear to the finish, surface dirt, and surface rust. The blade is without a cutting edge as appropriate for a training bayonet. The wood grip shows age and wear, but it is without cracks or damage. The grip bears the impressed number of “38”. The bayonet has a bird head pommel and a hooked quillon, both of which show patina and surface rust. The scabbard retains the dark finish but shows surface rust and minor indentations.
