WWII Japanese Arisaka Rifle Bayonet by Tokyo or Kokura Arsenal

$150.00

The blued finish of the blade is largely intact, showing some wear of the finish towards the tip. The blade has an old coating of oil on its surfaces. The ricasso bears the mark that was used by the Tokyo Arsenal prior to 1936 and by the Kokura Arsenal from 1936 to 1945. The bayonet has a hooked quillon guard and a bird head pommel, with both the guard and the pommel exhibiting a dark and uncleaned patina. The wood grip plates show age and toning, but the plates are without chips or cracks. The scabbard has scattered rust spots on approximately two thirds of both sides. Overall the bayonet is in very good field used condition.
