The finish of the blade is generally bright, showing some spots and with old dried oil at the tip on both sides. The ricasso bears the Kokura Aresenal mark. The wood grip plates show age and use but they are without chips or cracks. The curved quillon and the pommel exhibit rust. The end of the pommel is numbered. The scabbard shows wear to the blued finish and it has spots of rust. The rubberized frog exhibits age but it is complete and intact.
