WWII Italian 10th “Piave” Infantry Division Officer’s Tunic
$400.00
The tunic has bullion embroidered shoulder boards and rank insignia on the sleeves for a second lieutenant. On the left sleeve is the metal shield of the “Piave” division (It is affixed to the sleeve by stitches at three points, and the stitches at one of those points are gone, so the shield is loose at one corner). The tunic has some light spots and external and internal signs of wear, but overall the tunic is in very good used condition. The tunic displays a bullion cord dress aiguillette and is accompanied by the officer’s blue dress sash. The 10th “Piave” infantry division was involved in the defense of Rome until the pro-German government of Italy surrendered to the allies in September of 1943.
