WWII Imperial Japanese Police Officer Dirk

The dirk has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 17 1/4 inches with a blade length of approximately 11 3/4 inches. The blade has spots and scratches and shows sharpening of the cutting edge. The grip is ray skin dyed black and wrapped with brass wire. The grip shows wear to the surface areas. The front of the brass pommel displays the Imperial Japanese police star. The pommel, back strap and guard al show a nice patina. The dirk scabbard retains approximately 90% of its black paint.
