WWII German Unit Infirmary Wooden Sign

A painted wooden sign, 9 1/2 by 19 1/2 inches, which bears the German language term for “Infirmary” in Gothic script flanked by red crosses. The name of “Balk” appears below the designation (Balk is a town in the northwestern area of the Netherlands, near the German border). Next to the town name is the tactical unit symbol for the Bakery Company of a Motorized Infantry unit. There is the expected wear to the painted surface but the sign is in overall very good condition. There is a modern brass hanging fixture attached to the back of the sign.
