WWII German RAD Labor Service and Russian Front combat Photograph Album

The hardcover photograph album is approximately 7-1/2 inches by 9-1/4 inches by 1-3/4 inches thick. The album contains approximately 192 photographs of varying sizes. The photographs begin with depictions of a young German’s service in the Reich Labor Service, including work on the West Wall, and the photographs continue into his service as an enlisted man in Army Observation Battalion 1, with action on the Russian Front. Many of the photographs depict scenes from the Demjansk pocket, with images of destroyed German aircraft, German war graves, ski patrols, and Russian prisoners of war. One of the pages is detached from the album, and the cover of the exterior binding has a separation, but the album is complete and intact and the photographs present interesting scenes of both RAD service as well as eastern front action.
