WWII German Paratrooper Gravity Knife by SMF

The gravity knife is in excellent condition. The wood grip plates show typical signs of age and carrying wear, but are without chips or cracks. The sharpened blade is bright and without nicks or chips. The reverse ricasso is manufacturer marked by the firm of SMF. The integral awl device is, like the blade, very bright and in excellent condition. The trigger mechanism for releasing the blade, for locking it into place, and for releasing it and drawing it back into the grip section, is fully functional. Overall a very nice specimen of a scarce piece of World War II German fallschirmjaeger equipment.
