WWII German Machine Gunner “Werkzeugmesser” Utility Tool Trench Knife

The blade of the knife shows typical runner marks, surface grime, and dark areas on both sides of the blade. The black wood grip plates are retained with nickel rivets, and the wood plates show age but they are without chips. One grip plate has a subtle crack which runs from the top of the grip for approximately 1-1/2 inches. Inset into the grip are multiple tools, including a corkscrew, bottle opener, screw driver, and a small knife blade. The Germans designated this weapon as the “Werkzeugmesser”, or “Tool Knife”. The black scabbard paint is largely intact, and the scabbard includes its metal belt loop. Overall very good condition.
