WWII German Luftwaffe M35 Droop Tail Double Decal Combat Helmet With 1st Model Liner Dated 1931
In overall excellent condition, World War II Luftwaffe M35 double decal combat helmet. The Luftwaffe eagle decal is of the early “droop tailed” style and would rate as approximately 90% intact. The national colors shield would rate as approximately 90% intact. The helmet is complete with its liner and chinstrap. The liner drawstring is present and the liner is inked with the size “61”, the inner skirt of the helmet is also marked “61” in red grease pencil, in addition the liner is stamped with the manufacturers name, date “1931” and sizes “68/61”. The liner is stamped with a unit designation on the underside. The chin strap is dated “1939”. The helmet retains approximately 90% of the matte blue gray Luftwaffe combat paint. The interior of the helmet skirt is marked “ET68”, indicating manufacture by the Eisenhttenwerke firm in Thale. The interior rear skirt of the helmet carries the stamped lot number of a 3 above 2704.
