WWII German K98 Dress Bayonet by Gustav Spitzer

The blade shows some scratches and spots, as well as a film of surface grime that has made areas somewhat cloudy, but the blade would likely respond well to a careful cleaning. The ricasso bears the mark of the firm of Gustav Spitzer of Solingen. The black Bakelite grips are without chips or cracks. The guard has an uncleaned patina with a small spot of plating loss on the reverse side. The pommel similarly shows patina, with some speckling of the plated finish. The red wool insert remains in the rifle slot. The scabbard retains approximately 50 percent of the black paint.
