The album is approximately 8-3/4 inches by 12-1/2 inches, with marbled card covers. The first page is titled “Feldzug im Osten” (“Campaign in the East”), with a date of June 21, 1941. The invasion of Russia began on June 22, 1941. Also on the first page is the handwritten unit identification of “Pz. Jg. Abt. 69”. for Panzerjäger Abteilung (Tank Destroyer Battalion) 69. The album contains approximately 113 photographs. The images include scenes of combat operations in Russia; German and Russian armored vehicles and artillery; German war graves; a crashed Russian plane and Russian prisoners; and villages and scenes of camp life. Some of the photographs have handwritten captions on the reverse.
