The visor cap has a fine teller shape and it reflects the quality of a private purchase cap, with a body of ribbed field gray wool and a dark green wool cap band. The cap band and the crown are piped in white to reflect service in the infantry, with the piping showing some soiling. The top surface shows a tiny and barely perceptible hole, but otherwise the exterior is quite clean. The full interior sweatband is intact, showing a few minor tears. The oilcloth lining in the crown exhibits edge chips, but it is generally complete. The interior celluloid sweat shield has missing pieces but much of it remains present. Beneath the sweat shield is the maker name of Albert Loscher as well as the size designation of “60”. Overall very good condition.
