WWII Free Polish Navy Officer Rank and Visor Cap Insignia Set

During the Second World War the members of the Free Polish Navy served with the British Royal Navy and wore British style rank insignia and uniforms. This group is comprised of the rank insignia worn on the uniform sleeves of a senior officer of the Free Polish Naval Forces, together with the black mohair cap and for the officer’s visor cap, bearing a bullion embroidered insignia of the Free Polish Navy. The group also includes the two place ribbon bar of the officer, comprised of the ribbons for the British War Medal of World War II and the Polish Virtuti Militar medal. The group includes a small bullion star that would have been worn on the chin strap of the visor cap. The insignia shows expected signs of wear and age but remain in very good condition.
