Excellent condition, the enamel being without chips or cracks. The award was created in 1933 by the Franco-British Association to reward efforts of promoting co-operation and closer relations between the Great Britain and France. After the outbreak of World War II the decoration was awarded to members of the Free French forces and to the members of the French Resistance, for acts in Great Britain or for actions which supported Britain or British troops during World War II.
