WWII ETO P-38 Fighter Pilot Denim Kit Bag of the 37th Fighter Squadron

The blue denim kit bag is approximately 10-3/4 inches by 14 inches. The bag is lacking the drawstring. One side bears the painted designation of the “37th Fighter Sqd”, while the opposite side has the painted insignia of the squadron. The bag is in excellent condition. The squadron was a component of the 14th Fighter Group of the 12th Air Force. The squadron flew P-38 Lightning fighters in North Africa and, later, from Italy as escorts for bomber missions in Europe.
