WWII China Burma India Theater Leather Blood Chit and Infantry Overseas Cap with Theater Made Insignia
$300.00
The blood chit is multi piece construction, with a separately sewn leather Chinese flag. The kanji are hand painted. The blood chit measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 10 inches. There are stitch holes around the edges of the blood chit which reflect the fact that, at some point, the chit was sewn to a jacket. The blood chit is accompanied by a World War II U.S. Army enlisted man’s overseas cap that is piped in blue for the infantry branch. A small theater made embroidered China Burma India Theater insignia is sewn to the front of the cap, which also carries a theater made pin back insignia the bears the rank chevron of a Private First Class and the designation “China Burma India 1943”. The pin has a small chip to the enamel chevron. The overseeas cap shows expected signs of use and wear.
