WWII Army Officer Shin Gunto Sword with Old Blade and Cloth Combat Scabbard Cover

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 3-1/2 inches, with a blade length of approximately 22-1/2 inches. The old blade is quite bright, without chips, nicks, or cracks, and it shows a distinct temper line. The tang is unsigned, showing an uncleaned patina and some spots of rust. The ray skin covered grip is wrapped in the traditional fashion with black tape that was painted in a gloss brown that matches the cloth combat scabbard cover.
