WWII German Army Jager / Mountain Troops EM/NCO Overseas Cap
The cap shows field wear but overall it is fairly clean. Hand sewn to the front peak is a machine woven army eagle. On the scalloped front below the eagle is a machine woven national colors cockade that is surmounted by a dark green soutache. The soutache has been applied in the correct manner, having been machine sew in place and inserted through two small holes near the bottom edge of the cap. The field gray wool blend cap shows nap wear, some fading from the sun, and the cap has two small holes in the crown. The interior is lined in a golden brown ribbed cotton. The lining has a faint maker stamp and a handwritten letter “K”.
