WWII Army Air Force Pacific Theater Photograph Album

$125.00

The album is approximately 10 inches by 13-3/4 inches and it contains approximately 143 photographs, as well as letters and cards. The military images appear to depict base and personnel scenes at an Army Air Force facility in the Pacific Theater. One photograph shows the nose of a P-38 fighter with 27 Japanese “kill” flags, this presumably being the aircraft of ace Richard “Dick” Bong, a recipient of the Medal of Honor, the Distinguished ServiceĀ  Cross, and the Silver Star. The album includes a wool 2d Air Force patch. The cover is detached from the album.
