WWII 8th Air Force Air Gunner Staff Sergeant Ike Jacket, Shirt and Tie

The Ike jacket is tagged as a size 36 Regular, with a Quartermaster Depot tag in the interior pocket. The jacket has clutch back “U.S.” and Army Air Force disks. On the upper left breast is a 3 inch, clutch back, sterling air gunner wing. Above the wing is a two place ribbon bar, bearing the ribbons for the American Defense Medal and the European Campaign Medal with a single campaign star. The jacket has Staff Sergeant chevrons on each sleeve, while the lower left sleeve has three overseas service chevrons and two enlistment chevrons. On the left shoulder is the fully embroidered patch of the 8th Air Force. The jacket shows small scattered holes but it makes a very good appearance. The jacket is accompanied by the olive wool enlisted ranks shirt, which has some small holes. The group also includes the khaki necktie. Overall very good condition.
